New Years Eve Sunset Hike

Happy New Year!

Dec. 31st – 3:30pm – The CrossFit Monrovia Annual New Years Eve Sunset Hike up Clamshell Trail. 

This tradition started in 2008. Every year we meet at the base of the Clamshell Trail to ring in the new year and celebrate the past year. The hike is approximately 1.5 miles up Ridgeside Dr and then onto an easy fire road.  Please be prepared for colder weather as the sun sets and please bring a flashlight or headlamp.  Bring a bottle of your favorite beverage to toast the last sunset of the year which we anticipate to be about 5:00-ish.  We will have cups and some very light snacks.  Everyone is welcome so feel free to invite friends and family.

Directions to Clamshell Trail: From the 210 go north on Myrtle Ave. to Hillcrest Blvd. (above Foothill). Turn right on Hillcrest.  Turn left on N. Canyon Blvd. Canyon continues to the right as you intersect with Scenic Dr. Due to parking restrictions at the trailhead, you will need to park near the intersection of Canyon and Ridgeside Dr, and walk to the left up Ridgeside.  The trailhead is up a driveway at 873 Ridgeside Dr. Please keep voices down until you pass the 2 houses on the driveway and go thru the gate.

We will start the hike from the trailhead at 3:30pm. Be sure to give yourselves plenty of time ot park and make the short walk up Ridgeside.
